Breathwork at work
The pressure is real.
So is the body carrying it.
Most workplace wellbeing asks people to think their way out of stress. Breathwork works the other way round — through the body, where the stress actually lives.

Pressure, the nervous system and a different response
- Pressure
Deadlines, restructures, notifications, the meeting after the meeting — the body reads all of it as demand and it responds the way bodies do: quicker breath, tighter chest, narrower attention.
- The nervous system
That response is not a malfunction. It is useful. The difficulty is when there is never a moment where it switches off, and people spend months at a level of activation they have stopped noticing.
- Regulation
Regulation is not a permanent state of calm, and it was never meant to be. It is flexibility: the capacity to be activated and to come back, to feel grief and joy, irritation and tenderness, and still find the ground under you. Less about staying steady. More about being able to move.
- Breath
Breathing is the one part of that system we can reach directly. Slow, deliberate breathing practices have been studied for their effect on stress and wellbeing, and the evidence there is genuinely promising — though most of it looks at slow-breathing protocols rather than Conscious Connected Breathwork specifically, and I will not claim more than that.
- A different response
What I can say is what people report: that they leave with a felt experience of their own state changing, and a first-hand sense that a different response is available.
